woops, mindflayer is on bulb, not load. anyone into
lightning bolt who hasnt dont so should check out
mindflayer, it's one guy from lightning bolt and one
from forcefield, who are playing on the 5th at andrew
kreps in chelsea, btw. it's some kind of load records
extravaganza.
ok, so as far as kool keith goes, i agree the man is a
fucking genius, i'm just saying he's also fucking
shady. my friends put on a kool keith show in
charlotte, he showed up 2 hours late with no
turntables and made my friend go get his turntables
and bring them to the club. then he went on stage, 3
hours late, and made the promoters bring him his
money, in cash, and put it at his feet before he would
play. then he played 4 songs, cursed the crowd, and
walked off stage, but not before his dj fucked up my
friend's turntables. not to mention the getting
arrested fiasco in sf, i think? and probably many
other stories.
