yikes, drop brothomstates? i dunno about the rest of the list, but i think brothomstates is incredibly great stuff, and i'm kind of surprised to hear people talking about him as if he should be dropped from the label. claro, i'll agree, wasn't very strong at all, but i enjoyed qtio immensely.. there's also a wealth of material floating about the internet that he released before he was signed anywhere (he used to be fairly well involved in the pc demo scene as dune of orange) that i think is quite great and shows a good bit of talent. claro is a hard listen, but it's there if you give it time (i was never into it at all until i saw him play live, which sort of gave me reason to listen to it further). before you say he sucks, listen to his track on machine drum's remix album and the middle part of the live set on www.defaultresponse.com (the url for the set is http://www.enoughrecords.com/default/default_-_brothomstates.mp3). so after that long ramble, my point: do people here agree with mark for the most part, that brothomstates is overall not that great, or is this just the opinion of one man? i think he's one of the more exciting things i've heard in the field of electronic music in a long time, and i'm shocked to find people not agreeing. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
