You're not paying for the "movie" at a theater. You're paying for the
theater experience, part of which is seeing a projection of the digital
file (though most movies are still on film) on the big screen, and
producing this experience requires quite a bit of material
implementation. Watching a rip of a screener at home doesn't seem
different from listening to MP3s. The movie itself really "takes place"
in your mind, as does the music.
