Tee Parham is not wholly unfamiliar to visitors of Kikapu; he is also one of the men behind the Karl Zeiss project, which was one of our first releases nearly a year ago. mental tsp is Mr. Parham's solo project, and he has decided to offer an exclusive release through the Kikapu site. He states that "the idea behind 'control implications' is that of social systems as machines and the concept of the individual within those machines, while at the same time being motivated by global tension and personal isolation." mental tsp explores the more experimental side to his music in this release, with fully digitized slices of dub breaks and glitchy microbeats hovering over a bed of droning synths.

Tom Ka has been releasing .mod and .xm files for years from his humble abode in Wroclaw City in Poland, but this time he has decided to step out from the shadow of his Amiga and produce his first-ever mp3 release as Rokoa. These two tracks really are the perfect soundtrack to one's early morning wake-up, with beautiful melodies that float over some soft glitchy beats, all while putting a big smile on your face.

The Swedish takeover of Kikapu continues with our latest release from Gustav Björklind. This release is in a bit of a different direction from what you might call a past discernable "Kikapu sound" with a definite microsound influence. Gustav claims Miles Davis, Kompakt, and coffee as an influence for these tracks, and it shows. Abstract techno with minimal clicks and cuts for breaks, these tracks are a great example of Gustav's style and a very welcome addition to the Kikapu catalogue. :: upcoming releases ::
