Settle down and drink some V8. Your 'elite' little forum tends to read
too much between the proverbial lines.
I don't assume anyone has the same opinion as I do, though that should
persuade me not from making tongue-in-cheek jokes pertaining to
Soulseek/mp3s/vinyl/etc...it was a JOKE but someone, someone insisted on
calling me out (a give as I would have done the same) and now it has
become a cruel mockery filled with vitrol because people like you read
too much into things.
No wonder there is no retention within the IDM mailings; ya' can't take
a joke or criticism for shite because everyone is ready to fight a fire
when nothing is burning. (proverb for the day)

you might want to keep that in mind the next time you so casually
question why someone ELSE would buy vinyl, and then suggest they
download mp3's instead....
you apparently only choose to support (buy) music that is released in
formats you prefer, but this is obviously not necessarily the case for
the rest of "us". some of "us" believe in buying the vinyl music we
download in addition to the cds we buy to support the artist for those
works as well; even though we have to
endure all the "hassles" (all your excuses for not buying vinyl) that
come with
dealing with this analog format. you obviously feel your above this,
which is ok providing you keep it to yourself. when you suggest to a
stranger (to
you) download
something over buying it simply because it's vinyl, because you hate
vinyl (or it's passe or whatever),
in a public forum such as this, your basically pissing on the support
that
other music lovers give to vinyl by spending money on those vinyls.
(hence the "backlash" you received here) Some of us DO care if the
artist makes money off those vinyls they worked so hard on, regardless
of
whether or not we like the vinyl format. you do not, but don't make
comments that presume "we" share your opinion, because many of us don't!
