of it all...probably because they were timestretching everything in
Ableton Live [i'm guessing!], everything sounded a bit digitally hazy to
me...also the beats were not really house, all those sampled cutup
swingin snare drums and horns are strickly inna breakbeat norteno stylee
as far as what i been told...
seriously, though, who cares what it's called? i thought nortec were
cool, funky fresh and with a sense of humor about it all it seemed from
the attitude i heard in their set. what did anybody else think of them?
it was the first time i've heard any of them live -- and BTW -- anybody
know which ones of the collective were there playing last night? they
were also running some fun deconstructed mexican cowboy images on the
walls during their set...
