Plone was dropped from warp (very disappointing) apparently because warp considered them too whimsical for the label! Plone was a ery good band. Wonderful analog synth melodies and such very nice. They finished the second album and then were dropped. The album will not be released unless they find a new label. If i could I would start a label for them. Ive always loved their sound.
Apparently Warp also wanted to drop Broadcast as well, but have too much money invested in them. Ive always liked the different stuff on Warp but after hearing all this crap about dropping (and wanting too) really wonderful bands just because they dont have a sound like Autechre or Squarepusher, I am really beginning to hate the label. I thought they were better than that, but I guess they are just like any other asshole record label. I am positive that both Plone and Broadcast brought in money for them.
