Damn! I heard that one! But the thing that drew me to "IDM" anyway was the interest in experimental form. Too bad so many of the early practitioners- and so many of the newer practioners have lost interest in these new forms. Of course there are exceptions galore, but on the whole our little genere here has gotten downright dogmatic.

I've talked to so many people who all say that they feel such a huge musical debt to groups like Yes, Mahivishnu, and Pink Floyd. Certain their influence is widely felt!
