Berlin is an amazing city for electronic music is general. As far as IDM
goes there is a multitude of artists and labels. Are you familiar with
Monolake, Pole, Lali Puna or Arovane? They're are Berliners. City Centre,
Scape, Morr Music, Din and Lux Nigra are just a few of the great IDM label
based out of Berlin. Check out this link

Club wise check out WMF in the Berlin Mitte. I saw Pole, the Modernist and
Autechre there a couple years ago while I was visiting. The club is
beautiful and they focus on experimental techno, downtempo, IDM type stuff.
Also check out the Maria in East Berlin (right near the main trainstation
and the former wall). I saw Herbert and Tortoise play there and I guess they
tend to have pretty good shows there in the IDM/indie rock vain.
Record stores: check out HardWax (Germany's primeire record distributor,
producer and seller of electronic music). There are several good store in
the shopping district near the Berlin Mitte (can't recall the street,
Oraninburger Str. I think) that carry everything from Detroit Techno to IDM.

Berlin is heavily rooted in Techno (as you probobly know if you've been
there longer than a week). The club scene is dominated by it (see Tresor)
but there is a lot of IDM producers/label coming out of Berlin and I am sure
if you scratch the surfice you'll find what your looking for.
