<< Mr kumquat himself! have I just been blind, or have you been absent for the past forever? >> Not totally absent - lurking, yet present, like many others out there who used to contribute more. Seems like this list had a slow period, but may be poised for a comeback (?) << I keep looking through my cd racks and seeing your CD and thinking "that was a funky cd. where did he go, anyway?" >> Painstaking funky sampladelica seems to take longer than it should, like a fine wine (ahem)...however, the new kumquat album is due within the next six months. New mp3s will be up sooner than that. At least 100 of you on this list own a copy of the first one, so you'll be the first to know when the new one drops. Until then, you can hear a couple of kumquat tracks (that aren't on the first cd) by checking out the "We Bore" compilation that is out on Toast and Jam Records. This compilation cd actually originated on this list. The idea: sample music that you hate and turn it into something that you like (I sampled Kenny G). You can buy the We Bore cd, which also contains tracks by marumari, solenoid and PLS_WIDTH, for the unquestionably reasonable price of $4 postage paid, from Alex of Toast and Jam, who may or may not still be on this list. He is also currently accepting submissions for We Bore 2, for those many of you who make tracks... - fred http://www.nofuncharlie.com/kumquat --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
