Out today. I really like it. It has some of the ghosty melancholy of
Burial, without the cellophane crackling, and touches of trap drums without
getting annoying.
I'm always impressed by musicians who can come up with something original
and lush that still feels current and fresh. The 140bpm half-step rhythm
that pokes through in all sorts of unexpected ways in a variety of UK bass
music.
You can imagine these songs being played at FFWD a decade ago, but they're
still cutting edge.
