hi, i am curious about IDM/dub/jungle music creators using trackers for
their music still.
some good examples would be
md - appelsap, between gaps (merck) - done in fast tracker 2
machine drum - now you know, half the battle, urban biology (merck) -
all tracks by machine drum (not the remixes necessarily) done in impulse
tracker 2
ilkae - pistachio island (merck) - done in fast tracker 2
brothomstates, previously dune of orange, who did everything in scream
tracker 3, impulse tracker 2, and fast tracker 2, though i understand
the majority of his new tracks are done in various newer softwares
(logic, audiomulch, buzz)
muffler, on urban takeover, with a cd on trsi recordz USED to use
protracker and whatever other amiga tracker software, though i
understand he uses "professional gear" now.
psidream, can't recall what label he is on but he does some great
drumnbass/jungle tracks in impulse tracker.
most all of this stuff has been mastered professionally after being done
in a simple, no automation/realtime effects/vsti environment.
i'm curious if you are aware of other idm musicians using similar
software?
