i remember visiting nyc when i was in late highschool (from way upstate ny)
and i was at the virgin megastore and there was a listening station with
SpringHeelJack and RDJ on the headphones and if i had bought the
SpringHeelJack, well, i probably wouldn't be listening to so much electronic
music today. (two days later i was taking acid in a sunshine filled room and
trying to to dance)...
Lunatic Harness was very key for me as well and is still one of my favorite
albums of all time.
i was one of those desperate kids who bough Prodigy (which i still secretly
love) and Chem Brothers and all that shit (imo), ... i felt there was
something very special that could happen, but with rollingstone and
mtvspringbreak as my musical guides it was not so easy to find this stuff
(internet was not yet popular)
np: doo-wop on live365 ... represent!
