one thing a friend and i have recently gotten really obsessed with is the
Xfer Serum
https://splice.com/plugins/15493-serum-vst-au-by-xfer-records
you can get it through Splice at $9.99 a month (it's like $200)
i think it's a bit pricey for a synthesizer but, wow, you won't believe
what it can do. if you've ever used z3ta or Absynth you have some idea
what a really deep powerful synth can do. but then, much like the z3ta the
interface is really kept simple no matter how deep you get (unlike absynth!)
some amazing sounds, lots of videos on it on youtube as well
i've noticed that some manufacturers must pay people to keep making preset
banks and videos for their synths, or something, because if you look at :
rob papen predator
xfer serum
native instruments massive
spire
lennar digital sylenth1
and a handful of other's you find HUNDREDS of banks of presets, tens upon
tens of tutorial videos, etc
