Weirdness. One night a few weeks ago I accidentally caught _Top of the Pops_
(a bit like catching clap these days only more embarrassing and painful) on
TV and there was yet another of those girlie threesomes, this one doing a truly
execrable r'n'b-talk-rap over a largely untampered with backdrop of Gazza's
_Are Friends Electric?_ (sans Gaz, natch). Incongruous to say the least.
Scary.
A couple of nights later I switch on and there's _TOTP_ again and there's
Gary hunkering down (with a miraculous rug regrowth) apparently transported
(complete with regulation issue axe hero grimace) by some nasty overdriven
block chords he was excreting out over a vapid piece of bombastic sub-metal
toss.
What next? The Ultravox revival?
Destiny's Child gyrating to their new take on _Vienna_ (This means nothing to
me, boy, yay yay yay...).
Bring it on (NOT!)
