I'd second the recommendation on "Systemische" and "94 Diskont" when Oval wasn't only
M. Popp. The three of them together really revolutioned electronica, the same way
Autechre did.
As of nowadays, I'd rather listen to Frank Metzger solo pieces than Popp's
insipidities...
In a similar vein and really interesting more recently came the first CD by Takagi
Masakatsu "pia" - from Japan - on Carpark. The album of Discmen, from Porugual, on
Microwave.
Same things with Fennesz, "hotel parall.el" is a very important album for abstract
electronic. I like every of his records.
I'd recommend the second CD by Kohn, from Belgium, on (KraaK)3. Twine "recorder".
Pimmon...
have a nice day - philippe
