I heard most DJs get their start as plumbers.
Uh, and I can DJ mp3s for myself at home, I think that was the point. With
the right equipment you can also make laptop music for yourself at home. The
nature of the PERFORMANCE is what you PAY MONEY to SEE.
If I rented a big PA system, video mixer + projector, and paid two skinny
guys with brown hair to sit behind a rack of gear with a computer, I could
charge most of the people on this list $15 a pop to see any number of IDM
acts. And rave about it later.
Just load the laptop with the appropriate tracks and fade between a few
screensavers for visual counterpoint.
Maybe I shouldn't have told you all that.

Why does everybody on this list think that all they have to do to win an
argument is label the opposition as reactionary?
