and you sound like another ignorant and whiny frenchman
sorry; i have to chime in here
after having lived in france for a couple of years, and as an american, i
can say there's good and bad in both places. yes, you may have free
medicine, but your healthcare system is extremely costly. i love the recent
quote of a pfizer exec saying that since the french refuse to pay proper
amounts for new pharmaceuticals that he'll refuse to introduce innovative
therpaies to that market; or at least delay until many costs are covered
(enjoy your prozac in france - the second biggest market for the drug in the
world). also, socialism's wonderous benefits ain't for free - a 40+% income
tax may help explain some things. also, the beauties of mass transit in such
cities as paris don't always function especially during the numerous strikes
which surprisingly happen usually during nice summer days. concerning
cinema, this country produces some quality other than MIB (by the way, look
at what movies sell the most in france - usually american big budget
flicks); if i have to see another french drama of people complaining and
arguing incessantly to no deeper meaning i'll shoot myself. before i forget,
let me also remind of an open-minded french politician who you french very
nearly elected into high office and who believes that the massacre of jews
during WWII is a fable besides supporting other racist ideaologies
i could go on, but i think i made my point. i love both countries, but some
people need to open their minds a bit and travel a lot more...
