I'm thinking more along the lines of musical appreciation, not tastes. People will say that Amber is the best they've done and the rest aren't quality, and I think that is narrowminded. I realize that the Grapes of Wrath is a masterpiece but it is far from my favorite Steinbeck, its down there with Raise the Moon or whatever that propaganda piece he did for the government is called.
