Well, to address the original guy's point:
If you're getting too much mail from the IDM list, re-subscribe as a digest
recipient. You'll get one large mail about every 20 hours or so, depending
on list traffic, that contains all of the emails sent to the
list. Although replying is more of a pain, it makes reading the list and
keeping it manageable so much simpler.
Also, you could create a separate email account for the idm-list and simply
use that for list-related shenanigans, or set up filters in your email
program to shuttle all of the IDM messages to a new folder, where you can
read them at your leisure. That [idm] in the heading is there for a
reason, after all :D
Reducing the amount of messages sent isn't very feasible, though, as
there's well over a thousand people on the list and sometimes they all have
something to say :D
