Is that really so strange? That's how I do it. It seems like if you have a lot of cross-genre stuff, just throwing it all in one alphabetical mess makes it easier to find stuff than trying to remember which genre I put a specific CD in. I also alphebetize by first name, so "Otto Von Schirach" goes under O. Which is nice because it saves me from answering the question "Is Otto Von Schirach his REAL name?" Except in the case of "DJ" which gets ignored. So "DJ Shadow" is under S. Compilations under the compilation name. For me, the issue is finding the CD as fast as possible. It's not very often that I think "I'd like to listen to genre X."
