= Midwest Product.
Great live set at the Black Cat last night. Very Devo, but more techno.
Should be an inspiration to all live/XOR/techno acts everywhere.
I was duly impressed and inspired. I also danced, though I was unsure at
times whether to skank, slam or do the robot. Probably a good thing none of
you were there.
Ghostly put on a great show in general. Dykehouse is in the running for
funniest man in IDM, it's not just Cex anymore. Plus he put on a good show,
even if it was Karaoke most of the time. The MBV cover with the Jagmaster in
full effect was stunning. Unfortunately I think only about four people in
the crowd were old enough to get (into?) it.
I didn't hear much of Dabyre unfortunately as I was having a drink and a
chat with Drew from MP during his entire set. Oh well, maybe next time.
Only problem: Room too small. Crowd was dead for the most part, but that's
DC I guess. Still not a good excuse. Also, I already have too many black
T-shirts.
See the Ghostly tour, don't miss Midwest Product. Album 'Specifics' arrives
on the 23rd.
