It really does depend on what you are trying to do with the mix - we normally perform with 2 laptops and various live musicians (bass / stick/ percussion etc. etc. ) - and have various mixes of our own material that we use depending upon what combination of live instruments we use - works well - and having 2 laptops offers a bit of security in case of the odd system crash ... you need to know what the limitations of the machines are - and work within those confines - saying that though - I am currently running a 2 gig-hertz 512 ram machine - and it seems to be more than capable of achieving live - what you would normally do in a studio .. also - a lot of peeps I know these days are experimenting with LIVE - which seems an excellent performance program .. stephen http://www.digitalcutuplounge.com cutups wrote:
