it's been awhile...summer is here & a quick hello...
for now, the 'meusic' site has been updated with new info...
in the not so distant future, adesh at 'uneven foundation' will give the
whole thing a new look, incorporating some of the lovely artwork from the
upcoming sybarite full length, 'nonument'.
the summer is a quiet time but will see a few new offerings from me...
a collaborative 7" on the zealectronic label that places
sonna/sybarite/lilienthal
all together in one lovely package. this one's been done for a long
time & we're
glad it's finally coming out. next...a 2xCD compilation on blue bell
records (darla)
titled, 'hear you soon' featuring 808 state, static, greg davis,
hausmeister, sybarite
and many, many more.
available now are a few things that might have slipped under the radar...
apartment b records has released a fine compilation titled,
'NY:various artists'
feat. i-sound, daniel raffel (lucky kitchen), so takahashi, zammuto,
sybarite,etc.
it should be in shops soon. also worth your $ - a metal box from
brainwashed.com
3xCD 'brain in the wire', disc 1 & 2 were given away with issues of The Wire &
this set includes disc 'X' where you'll find me alongside coil,
bowery electric,
nurse w/ wound & others. the first two discs feature the spectrum of sound
that is the brainwashed family - check it out. last but not least, a
piano magic
remix 12" on 4AD feat. dntel, fortdax, sybarite & jerome from piano magic. the
tracks were remixed from their current album 'writers without homes' - out now.
when summer turns to fall new things are on the horizon...
the end of august will see my first release for 4AD - a 7"/CDep,
featuring a vocal
track with jennifer charles of the band 'elysian fields', a dub
version of one of the
upcoming album tracks & one other...
on sept. 9th my first proper full length, 'nonument', will be
released in europe.
I just recieved finished copies & the artwork/package is stunning, designed by
Vaughan Oliver & friends at v23, it is the closest relationship of
sight w/ sound
that i've found for my music. I hope you enjoy it...
all roads lead to...a first time for everything.
I'd better practise. somewhere towards the beginning of september I will be
headed to england to embark on a 2-3 week tour of europe in support
of the record.
if you know of anyone who'd be interested in setting up a show please
be in touch...
towards the end of oct./nov. I will also do a short US tour, east & west coast.
I've only played live once before so I better start figuring this out...
