I appreciate the comments..... Unfortunately we're creatures of habit..... Many, well several, people on this list are house heads. One of which is the first person that offered me assistance...with Placid Angels, the Redcell Stasis Split, he hipped me to Chris Gray and Glenn Underground, & Nu Era...... Reminds me of this message I sent to the library and one guy types a long message about why he hates getting mail like the one I sent and how he's too busy..........My mouth to the keyboard in disbelief, thinking..... Why the hell didn't he just hit delete......I do it all the time....(he took the time to read it and type a paragraph to it---just doesnt make sense).... Alland is a house head---some others but they never post a thing.... Besides, Emoticon/Defocus/Delsin/Hefty records and Telefon Teleaviv in particular, Prefuse 73, its IDM if it can be classified in that way..... Your comment has a isolationists type of feel to it...but I aint trippn cuz its all about the music(period) NP Fabrice Lig's Soft Cause ----- Original Message ----- From: M Mercer Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 11:34 AM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: [idm] BTW, more house.... i'd recommend some of the stuff on playhouse, perhaps. i don't really count BPMs so i have no guarantees that it falls within your criteria. it's got the funky-house crossover thing but is still generally weird enough to fit within a techy house set: losoul, etc. lately i've been fascinated by farben, whose tracks are very technical but still funky in spots (check out the "beautone" 12" within the starbox, though the whole box is essential listening). benjamin wild's release on forcetracks is really good, too. curious though as to why you are always inquiring on the IDM list about house music? seems like a mismatch.... and 80% of the records you mention all the time (glenn underground, for example) have minimal relevance at best... on usenet there's a variety of house forums that you could probably get a lot of recommendations from househeads. (alt.music.house, rec.music.funky, to name a few) i'm sure these would be of more use to you since the people who post there know more directly about that sort of thing.
