Hmmm....this can be seen both ways I guess....as a Dj who happens to be a female, I must admit I have run into some situations and people that wanted to make it a big deal, etc etc etc....but, are we not human, if you prick us, do we not bleed (ooohhh, that's a loaded phrase right there, !) When I started spinnning, I choose the name 'L3' to kinda 'hide' my true identlty ( I was playing hardcore techno at the time) --- as time went on, I became more comforable with my art - now, whole not exactly flaunting my femininity, I make no bones about it...it is what it is....I am a geek, a gearhead, an artist, a dj, I am also a Mom and a wife...I have never spun at an all female party, and don't think I would feel comforable doing so - because to do so would almost be like admitting that females are a different kind of DJ But, I must admit that lately I have been enjoying doing my hair, make-up and clothing in a more, um, glamourous fashion --- what the hell ---- I can still enjoy the fruits if being a girl and that means I can use any and all means necessary to seduce my audience, even when mixing flat out Ambient ! ;-> Linda np-> while it was raining: Horchata-Biomass Necromass Remixes now thgat it is sunny: Hat - DSP Holiday ----------------------------------------------------------- Linda Leigh/L3 www.technotica.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
