Well, I didn't particularly like 'loop-finding-jazz-records' either, but his more purely house stuff is good house, IMO. Stuff like his Farben 12"s on Klang Electronic. I also really enjoy his Gramm album on Source (the German one), but he did describe it himself as a kind of lounge music. If you go to it expecting something at all like Vladislav Delay you'll be disappointed. Just thought I'd put in my 2 cents in case that's all you've heard of Jelinek's releases.
