I guess it doesn't really count as death metal ... i think it's more
goth/ambient
As far as Pyromania is concerned, i'm not joking at all when I say
that everybody should listen to it... it is a fantastic record. I
only really discovered Pyromania very recently, as when it was
released I was far "too cool" to give it an unbiased listen. I had
had the same experience with Guns'n'Roses' Appetite for Destruction
and Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast. I'm sure Motley Crue put out
an enjoyable album somewhere along the line, but I haven't started
investigating yet. Sincerely good stuff. I definitely hear ya on the
Scorps, Foreigner and Styx. Styx and Cheap Trick are my hometown
boyees. Along with Enuff Z'Enuff, but I won't go so far as to say i'm
proud of THEM...
Peace
