I gotta seriously second this opinion... I'm pretty sure you just can't
get better speakers for the price. The price is still pretty damn high,
and there are certainly nicer speakers-- but to get better you're gonna
have to look at $5 to $10K. I dunno about IDM specific... for me, they're
so sweet that I'd almost hate to play anything but classical on them. Not
that I have a set, way too rich for my blood. I'm perfectly happy with my
PARADYME speakers (can anyone explain this? the web links for paradyme
and paradigm are all mixed up... I got them "new," fairly cheap at a
consignment shop. no serial numbers, no model indication, but they sound
great.)
