LOL, that's why I inserted "modern" because I was really referring to Techno
music as I know it; modern US/UK techno born in the late 80's to early 90's
ala much of what Thorsten Sideb0ard wrote in his email.
I wasn't trying to get historical really, just trying more or less to say
what Thor said ;-)
I guess if I was trying to get historical I'd say that when I first started
listening to "Techno" I was going to "underground's" and it wasn't until
about 3 or 4 years later that techno became jungle, house and trance and the
scene became "rave". Oh those were the days....
And yeah, the mention "category of electric music" was a typo. Shoulda said
electronic
