OFFF is a platform for web development, web art, experimental music and new
audio-visual languages. It functions both on-line and off-line, in forms of
a 3-day event organized in the city of Barcelona. OFFF gathers all kinds of
people interested in creative work and languages using digital technology
and the Internet.
OFFF, as an off-line festival, generates conferences, workshops, spaces in
which people advance their knowledge and share it with other developers and
artists. OFFF also generates and creates a fantastic inspirational
atmosphere and new projects and collaborations. Besides it offers concerts
and experimental music sessions, mixed media exhibitions and visual art
projections.
The spirit of the Festival is absolutely alternative, in that it seeks to
focus attention on individuals or groups that stand out because they have
broken the established patterns and standards, discovering new visual and
aural languages with which to present their ideas, thoughts, stories,
emotions and feelings. In fact, these languages reveal the narrative
potential of the new technologies and they are capable of reaching people
of different cultures living in different places.
