No, what makes Puff Daddy's re-works bad is that he raps over them. "Uh, uh, fuck yeah" ... um, no thanks. Re-working originals can be cool. For example, the "electronica" wave of the mid-90's brought some cool remakes of a lot of old music, like the big-beat swing in the Gap ads (so shoot me, i liked it), and 10-million remixes of the James Bond theme. And Orbital recently re-made the Doctor Who theme, which totally kicked ass. And Bit_Meddler just rocks, period. But none of these people kill the original music by rapping or singing over it, reducing it to nothing more than background music for their own inane ramblings. ===== .Adam http://www.damek.org/ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
