I'm sure I'm telling you something you already know but.... JG Ballard's
writing is very political (I'm just munching through the recently published
collected short stories). Neal Stephenson's Snowcrash and Diamond Age always
struck me as interesting views of how national politics might develop.
Burroughs' Interzone, another. Someone wrote the following to me, though I
haven't read any yet:
