The boards of canada "connection" has to do with both bands appearing on Skam long before anyone cared about who they were. They also sounded pretty similar when "Soup" and "music has the right to children" were out, which was around the same time. Sort of an electro downtempo thing with a nice groove. So it made sense that people who liked one would like the other. The newer stuff doesn't really keep up the same connection, but I like Soup a lot, and think Mauver was pretty good, too. If you don't have soup, and like the melodic side of idm with a touch of old-school, you should look into picking up Soup. derek ------- eggytoast.com ------- snappy one-liner --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
