the obvious first picks would be MRI and Crane AK, both on Force
Inc/Forcetracks... really really smooth stuff. I assume you've found these
already because they've been out for some time...
Ricardo Villalobos "Love Family Trax" CD ... this one is great, somewhere in
that Playhouse/Perlon sound, with Akufen, Villalobos, etc... really nice
mix, continuous DJ set
Akufen "Quebec Nightclub" LP (Perlon) super cut-up really angular house,
lots of samples of radio, television and other artists tossed in. The best
thing I've heard on Perlon.
v/a "Superlongevity" 2CD (Perlon) continuous 2CD set (well, it stops between
CDs ;-) which actually wears a bit thin by the end of each disc, but is
basically all you could ever want from Perlon's backcatalogue.
Jetone "Ultramarin" (Force Inc) deep techno, i think this is one of the
better Force Inc releases of recent past
Corvette 12" (Max Ernst) Brinkmann at his finest, with lots of musclecar
samples and slick beats
Misc. 12" (Forcetracks) really slick techhouse by numbers, kinda, but still
worth checking out. Probably closer to what you've described below.
Losoul "Belong" CD (Playhouse) some nice middle ground between techy and
straight-ahead house music.
sorry for the superbrief descriptions, not feeling up to the challenge
really tonight, but these are all worth looking into I think.
