Tri Repetae and Anvil Vapre are brilliant releases.. by far Autechre's best work IMHO. I don't think the Ae boys ever got closer to hitting the nail right on the head than they did with these two. Garbage never did that much for me, though it has some very nice atmospherics.. When I hear songs like 'Dael' and 'Second Scout' I just can't believe such beautiful and expressive sounds are possible to create. The genius of these guys is never more apparent than in this era. Like we were saying, Amber has some lovely moments, and Chiastic Slide is also top notch, but the Tri Repetae era was truly Autechre's golden age. Now this was very subjective, of course, but I just felt it was my duty to give my two cents worth :-). Message-ID: <00c001c19868$172a8d90$6401a8c0@ubik> That's what I tought too, but now I'm not sure. I find Tri Repetae++ a bit too formulaic sometimes. I think my favourite autechre release is ciclichisuite, this has the best of both world ;) But if you like autechre, get every release, they are all good. As said, incunabula and amber are more musical. Vincent
