i like 'Confield' a lot too,
in a certain sense, i feel they've left the 'IDM' genre behind
(whatever that genre is)
and entered into a more avant-garde realm,
so you may find some satisfaction with the likes of
abstract musician PBK,
or electronic tone-poet Yasunao Tone,
or 60's tape-splicing hero Tod Dockstader.
i could go on...
these types of artists are worth checking out by anyone into the 'out there'
aspects of this type of music we so enjoy.
