Speaking of surroundsound - I went along to hear the Stockhausen electronic
recital on Sunday night which involved the venerable old man talking about
each piece before playing the tapes. It was sort of incredible to listen to
this man and see him in the flesh, but what was most amazing was to hear the
proper distribution in space of pieces like Gesang der Junglinge and
Kontakte - Wow! If you've got these on stereo media and ever have the chance
to hear a proper concert performance - Go and sit and close your eyes!
All the best,
Colin.
