I have a deutsch grammophon version, and I think that whilst it may be
considered 'hot and tense' I still love to play it whilst drifting away. I
find it enjoyable in the same way that storms and high wind outdoors are,
its like being lost in a forest in the dark.
In retrospect soothing was probably the wrong word though...

PS Fridge's 'Sevens and Twelves' is also great to listen to on the edge of
sleep.
