just got this, an LP by twine called circulation on komplott
records. i have to say it is one of the best albums that i have gotten this
year so far, and BTW the artwork is simply beautiful. it is very abstract,
glitchy, experimental and melodic at the same time, without falling into the
usual "glitch" cliches (ie. glitch-dub, glitch-house, glitch-hip-hop etc).
i guess for me the sound on this album could be summed up, if rastor and the
more "lush" moments of m plateaux met.
the last thing i had gotten by twine, was the hefty IA 12" and it was very
good, but only hinted at the good things to come, this album really delivers
on what the 12" promised.
i haven't gotten the bip-hop gen4 comp yet, but saw that they have two
tracks on it...anyone have comments on that and/or the bip-hop series in
general, as i don't own any of them.
also just got the bovine life-social electronics album out on bip-hop and
the takagi masakatsu-pia album on carpark, they are both excellent (more
later) anyone get the new noto on m plateaux/rastor? i have heard that it is
good, but have yet to read a "proper" review.
