There are several no-turning-back records I have heard, hear are some: Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy - Completely unexpected on first listen, where all music should be. (ditto SAW2) Squarepusher - Music is rotted one note - Good grief this was a change, when I was expecting a Big Loada style album, have to admit the man is more diverse than well, anyone else. BOC - MHTRTC - I found this very dull on my first listen and didn't know why people liked it so much. Then I tried again, I have been hooked ever since Autechre - Confield - So very strange and almost a challenge to enjoy it.I will conquer this record! Stereolab - Cobra and Phases Group play voltage in the milky night - I expected crap indie poo, but was really suprised and happy, to find it steeped with electronica, and very good. Coil - Time Machines - Hmmm, an hour of drones. Not really what I had expected. The large number unsetlingly poor recent releases will not be listed here as they are sadly numerous, and although they have 'suprised' me it has not been in a good way georgewilliamson --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
