He's a super-cynical, super-smart and usually super-funny investigative
reporter for his own tv show and has done documentaries for film and tv. His
first big splash on the scene was in early 90s (?) when he did some
documentary on the auto industry in Detroit.
I remember a segment he did recently where he took the situation in New York
where a black men was shot to death by police when they thought he was
grabbing for a gun. Well, it turned out he was only reaching for his wallet.
In America, as well as elsewhere probably, there is a law that all toy guns
have the tip or some part colored in bright orange so as to not be mistaken
for a real gun. Michael Moore then started passing out bright orange colored
wallets to all the black people he came across on the steets of NY.
Bravo tv, in America at least, was airing his tv show, although I don't know
if they still are. You might check www.bravotv.com. He may or may not be
well known outside of the US.
I would assume he's also got a website of his own, but I haven't checked.
