The area directly above the Pentagon is a "no fly zone", but about a 5-10
minute drive away from the Pentagon is a major airport. So its only a matter
of a couple of minutes after a plane takes off from the airport until it can
enter the "no fly zone". And there just isn't enough time at that point to
take action. Its just too late.
