when in pain, we feel so isolated and alone...
when hurt we shout and cry like wounded animals...
so that others may hear
our survival instincts have just been reawakened
and as a result, our tribal nature has come out in full.
Its like becoming aware of your left toe..
it is evolution...
human beings were once in tribes,
tribes served a purpose of protection
if you are alone you are much more likely to be destroyed...
if you are in a pack, you can keep each other safe.
we strive again to find our packs.
we embrace and speak to anyone
even those we will not ever see
we establish eye contact with strangers on the street
we share our grief, our anger, our fears...
we hold hands, we cry for people on tv...
email random people on the idm list...
its okay, we really are all the same in some essential ways... whatever you
need to do to let it out, its much better then keeping it inside.

ps I always thought good musicians were really sensitive to the outside
world... You can feel the vibrations all around you. You can hear intricate
melodies in what others call noise, you can appreciate its beauty... This is
just another melody, no?
