sounds and looks like the investigation might be moving along quite well (relatively speaking)...that's how we'll find out who's responsible. weird that that concept didn't occur to you. "everybody must pay"? who is saying that? and what if the person or people who are responsible for this are found out and caught? cool with you if they're held responsible and punished?

wow. which rock have you been living under? for example, the wtc was hit in 1993 - 6 died, 1000 injured. or did you forget about that one? and the oklahoma city bombing...that's not terrorism? that's not "damage on american soil"? who gives a flying fuck if timothy mcveigh was american...america clearly wasn't very happy about that incident either. does that make you feel better? I can tell you this- whether or not you or I agree with the death penalty or war, neither mr. mcveigh or the people who attacked america yesterday are stupid enough to not know that they've got early deaths to look forward to when they're found out and caught. again, whether or not you or I like it, that's the way it works here. I'd suggest getting used to that reality. personally, I'll feel safer when the people who are behind yesterday's brutal (yet wimpy) attacks (and any in the past or future) are no longer living and able. whoever they are, and wherever they're from. how about you? let me guess, you didn't know and love anybody who died in yesterday's happenings? guess what? me either (or not that I know of, yet). but my feelings about it wouldn't be different, either way. and yes, I'd feel the same if this happened *anywhere* in the world. scary that people would be ashamed to live in a country who "makes a big deal" out of a disaster like yesterday's.

I bet it was covered plenty there. you're in america, which serves as a great reason why you're seeing yesterday's happenings being thoroughly covered here. if you don't understand or like that, then you've got a confusing and frustrating life ahead you. yikes. I understand and happily accept that many people on this list have VERY different views about things like this. and I've enjoyed reading some of the more "educated" messages, regardless of whether they're of a different view or belief than mine, or not. but I tend to keep my mouth shut about topics which I don't feel that I know enough to open my mouth about. (hence my extremely infrequent messages to this list. well, that and my chronic shyness!) but there's been some awfully ignorant, insensitive, hateful, and downright stupid messages here in the last day or two regarding the situation here in the US. on the other hand, I was in tears yesterday reading some of the heartfelt messages from people around the world on this list. for me, it felt good to read that the listmembers from all over the world felt affected enough to want to show concern about the victims, and the country, and the world. it was the first time in a LONG time (years) that I've felt a sense of "community" here. anyway. dud. __________________________________________________ Terrorist Attacks on U.S. - How can you help?
