I went mainly to see L'usine who, as always, was pretty mindblowing. He stuck to his mellower ICL stuff, which is still wonderful, but I sure would like to hear him do some of the edgier stuff like on his first album. I hadn't heard Tujiko before seeing her that night, although she does have a song on the new Tigerbeat Inc. comp. I didn't too much like it. I came across as a Japanese version of Mira Calx- sorta half-assed, immature, incomplete, directionless. You could tell she was giving it that ol' college try, but she just wasn't that good at it. And trying to sing was also a mistake. Mind you I haven't heard her cd. These comments only pertain to the performance. If anybody doesn't know- Tujiko Noriko L'usine 31 Birds (Craig Grady and friends) Monday Sept 10 at The Fold at the Silverlake Lounge. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
