Here's a good example of a musicians work
that is "timeless" (incidentally, when I use
the word I mean; music that
last longer than 10 years, a matter that is
somewhat relative and left up to the individual I know,
because what maybe timeless to me,
may simply not be to another.....that said).
BoB Marley...
(while driving uptown)........
I ask my Ethiopian buddy, "what date was that?"
He replies, I think it was
about '72' O(my name shortened). "Your kiddn
D-ru(his name shortened) ", I retort,
I know its been remastered and all, but the overall
sound seems quite contemporary. Snickering he says,
"I know O, besides his revolutionary messages,
thats one of the reasons I like Marley"........
