Well...I know what you mean but it's not quite that bad...we've had
quite a lot of interesting underground developments going on in the last
couple years. The overall scene has grown hugely since '95 (when I moved
here from Tokyo), there was hardly a scene at all then.
There was an interesting (if superficial) in Asiaweek magazine this week
about the HK underground scene (with a mention of DCL, natch), you can
check it at:

It also mentions Slow-Tech Riddim, a local
jazz/funk/post-rock/electronica band, and Jun Kung, an 'alternative'
Chinese pop star from Macau who sometimes plays drums with us.

That's Lan Kwai Fong...place where all the expat bizness peeps to hang
out. Best place to see and be seen and get drunk and pass out.
