i am surprised nobody has answered this yet.
i was at the i-f show, and except for the inadequate air conditioning it was
cool. the i-f guy started off with the first track from mixed up in the
hague, an instant crowd pleaser, which kinda set the tone for the evening.
he played a bunch of stuff from that album as well as some things that i
hadn't heard before that were in the same vein. it would have been nice if
he threw in some of his more abstract "fucking consumer" kinda stuff but
that probably would have dampened the vibe too much.
unfortuinately i had to take off half way through the show cause the people
i was with were either utterly disinterested (yes you marshall) or being a
pain in the ass. we subsequently walked over to this nearby hole in the wall
bar in chinatown and watched some incredibly drunk people do karaoke to gun
n roses. funniest shit i've ever seen.
the i-f dude is pretty low key. i guess i should not be surprised... maybe i
have seen too many cex shows or something. :)
