Brief point of contention - while I wasn't there for it, my understanding is that disco originated with deep roots in the black (and gay) community, and evolved as a racially integrated phenomenon. So "disco white people music" isn't quite correct. At least, not the disco of the Paradise Garage, etc. - perhaps the later disco of Saturday Night Fever, etc.
